Where I-75 meets the Turnpike
Rossford contains the junction of I-75 and the Ohio Turnpike (I-80/I-90). The city’s own figures put traffic at 61,900 vehicles a day on I-75 north of the Turnpike and 78,110 at the I-80/I-75 junction (City of Rossford). Because the two highways meet here, the first question is which one you are on:
| You are on | Who can tow you | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| I-75, including near Exit 195 and Buck Rd (Exit 197) | Any towing provider; after a crash, police can order a blocking vehicle cleared (ORC 4513.66) | Call 911 if a lane is blocked or anyone is hurt; otherwise request an emergency tow |
| The Ohio Turnpike near Exit 64 | Only an official Turnpike contract garage, which takes the car to the nearest exit (OAC 5537-3-01) | Call #677 |
| SR-795, US-20 or a city street | Any towing provider | Request a tow or roadside assistance |
The Turnpike’s 2025 request for proposals for disabled-vehicle service, covering March 2026 to February 2029, requires operators to accept all major credit cards (Turnpike RFP 26-2025).
Fulfillment center, Bass Pro and big store lots
Rossford’s big commercial sites include an Amazon fulfillment center in The Crossroads district, open since November 10, 2020, Bass Pro Shops at 10000 Bass Pro Blvd, and Crossroads Centre near I-75 and US-20, with Target and Home Depot. Typical situations here:
- A car that won’t start in a big store lot. Give the store name and the nearest entrance or row. Ask for a jump start before assuming you need a tow.
- Keys locked inside. A lockout is a roadside call; say which store you are parked at.
- A car that won’t start in an employee lot. Give the building name, the lot and the gate, and whether a guard has to let the truck in.
- An AWD or electric car that needs a shop. Ask for a flatbed.
Exit signs and landmarks that point somewhere else
Several names around Rossford describe places that are not in Rossford. Use the exit or road instead of the town:
| Sign or place | Where it actually is | What to tell the dispatcher |
|---|---|---|
| I-75 Exit 199, SR-65 (Miami St), signed to Rossford | Toledo | “I-75 Exit 199, Miami St” and your direction |
| Buck Rd, I-75 Exit 197 | Sources place it in different communities | “Buck Rd at I-75 Exit 197” and your direction |
| Hollywood Casino Toledo | East Toledo | The casino name and lot |
| Veterans’ Glass City Skyway (I-280) | Toledo | “I-280 on the Skyway” and your direction |
Along the river and Superior St
Away from the interstate, Rossford is a river town. Veterans Memorial Park and Ed Ford Memorial Park sit on the Maumee, and the NSG/Pilkington float-glass plant recalls the town’s start as a glass company town. SR-65 runs through as Superior St and Dixie Hwy.
Two intersections were set for roundabouts in 2026. The city scheduled a 60-day closure of SR-65 at Glenwood Rd/Bergin St starting June 2, 2026 to build a single-lane roundabout (City of Rossford), and it announced a second roundabout project at Buck Rd and Glenwood Rd (City of Rossford). If you stop near either, say which road you were on going into the roundabout. Check OHGO for current conditions. Across the city line to the east is Northwood.
How a request works
- Decide which road you are on. If it is the Turnpike, call #677 and stop here.
- Call (419) 329-4502 or send a request with the exit, store or street.
- Describe the vehicle and say where it should go. Your request goes to an independent provider serving Rossford, who calls you back.
- Ask for the total price and the payment methods before the car is loaded.
